Why Wacker Neuson

Wacker Neuson has been building construction equipment since 1848, and the company invented the first electric rammer in 1930. On a lot of jobsites, a rammer is still just called a "wacker." Today the company builds light and compact equipment for the North American market from its US headquarters in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin, and its E-Series hydronic heaters are among the most fuel-efficient surface heaters made.

For northern Minnesota, that pedigree matters most from October through April: the E-Series is what lets excavation and concrete work keep moving when the frost is measured in feet.

Common Questions

What does a hydronic ground heater actually do?
It circulates heated glycol through hoses laid over frozen ground or fresh concrete, under insulated blankets. Used for thawing, it removes frost so you can excavate in winter. Used for curing, it keeps a pour warm enough to gain strength. Concrete that freezes before it reaches about 500 psi can permanently lose a large share of its design strength, so winter pours up here need managed heat.
Can I buy new Wacker Neuson equipment through BCI Rentals?
Yes. As an authorized dealer we can quote and order any current Wacker Neuson machine for purchase, from plates and rammers to generators, pumps, light towers, ground heaters, and compact equipment. New units carry factory warranty, and we support them with genuine parts and service through the dealer network.
Which size ground heater do I need?
Match the unit to the area you need to thaw at one time: the E1250 covers up to 2,500 sq ft, the E3000 up to 6,000 sq ft, and the E5000 up to 10,000 sq ft. Curing capacity is larger than thaw capacity on each unit. Hydronic heat typically removes frost several inches per day, so call us with your footprint and schedule and we will size it with you.
Do you deliver?
Yes. We deliver across north-central Minnesota, including Brainerd, Baxter, Bemidji, Grand Rapids, Park Rapids, Walker, Pine River, Pequot Lakes, and the surrounding lakes area. Delivery options and rates are shown on each product page.
