What size generator do I need?

Add up the running watts of what you plan to power, then account for startup surge on motors, which can be several times running load. As a rough guide, the 6 kW unit covers tools and small equipment, the 25 kVA runs a busy site or event, and the 75 kVA handles commercial loads and three-phase equipment. How quiet is a WhisperWatt really?

Quiet enough to stand next to and hold a conversation. The small units run in the upper 50s dBA range, comparable to normal speech, and even the larger sets are engineered to stay unobtrusive at typical working distances. That is the WhisperWatt name earning its keep.

What is the transfer tank setup for?

The 6 kW towable pairs a generator with a 180 gallon diesel tank and pump on one trailer. Crews use it to power a remote site while also fueling machines out of the same tank, which saves a second trip and a second trailer on jobs far from town.
